Nothing beats a homemade pasta sauce made from recipes handed down generation to generation. The Yelp Rochester community came together at New York Wine and Culinary Center’s Educational Theater as Paul Guglielmo, owner of Guglielmo’s Sauce, demonstrated the secrets of his Homegrown Marinara Sauce alongside NYWCC’s Lead Chef Instructor, Chef Jeffory McLean aka Cheffory. Guests learned how to make homemade sauce and pasta, can tomatoes, enjoy a glass of local wine with a 3-course meal, including the first taste of the newly launched pumpkin sauce. Paul shared the story behind making sauce with his grandfather and how that emotional bond was something he wanted to pass on to his customers, giving them recipes built on Italian-American family traditions.
