October 2021 was all about lifting our spirits! To that end, Moxy Downtown Portland invited the Portland Yelp Elite Squad to taste-test some new and exciting cocktail ideas and vote on their favorite.
As Elites entered the lobby, they were greeted at the front desk which also serves as a full-service bar with craft cocktails, wines by the glass, and local brews. The friendly staff was led by lead mixologist and bartender extraordinaire Daniel, aka The Dandy Bartender. As Yelp Elite Ploy N said, “The person of this event really was the bartender. Super friendly and generous with their cocktail mixing.”
The drinks were: (1) the “She Bops,” champagne and chambord combined, (2) the “Blue Bayou,” a whiskey and blueberry concoction, and (3) the “Pucker Up Baby,” a vodka lemonade with a spicy kick.
Elites enjoyed their three samples in Moxy’s lobby, which features modern seating, a fireplace, board games, and more. In case they got hungry, Elites were invited to enjoy happy hour pricing (20% off) on food all evening long.
Once all socializing was done, food and drinks were enjoyed, and votes were cast, the favorite cocktail ended up being the Blue Bayou! Its housemade blueberry reduction was the perfect mix of sweet and tart for these Elites. But the real winner? All of us, for getting to enjoy this great Elite Experience at Moxy Downtown Portland.
As if all that wasn’t enough, Moxy invited two lucky randomly chosen Elites to come back to enjoy a two-night stay on the house plus a little food/drink credit! All bedrooms at Moxy are equipped with 55-inch flat screen televisions, flip down desks, Chromecast capabilities, Queen or King beds, and the same stylish design seen throughout the hotel. Right on!
