What good is the perfect summer oasis if you can’t share it with friends? With that spirit in mind NV Apartments were opened their doors and welcomed the Yelp Elite Squad. Portland’s top Yelpers rubbed elbows with NV’s current residents, and from the view of their luxe rooftop garden, everybody was treated like a real VIP.
In NV’s grand lobby, the hosts immediately greeted partygoers with a glass of sparking wine. Next, Yelpers traveled to the third floor community space. Making the most of a beautiful Portland summer day, guests loved the gorgeous 360º views of the city skyline, the mountains, and the Willamette River. But this party was about more than panoramic views. It seemed that everywhere you turned, another guest vendor was ready to pamper the Yelp Elites.
The first stop was NV’s gourmet kitchen and parlor for a slice of gourmet pizza, compliments of Chef Vitaly Paley’s newest concept, The Crown. From vegan to carnivore, there were slices for every appetite, but topped with fried chicken and pickles, it was the Imperial Pizza that really had guests talking! Right around the corner, The SnapBar showed off their state-of-the-art photo booth, which not only printed strips on the spot but also saved the photos to an online gallery! In the private dining room, Missionary Chocolates shared vegan truffles in flavors like Spicy Cinnamon Chipotle, Strawberry Basil, and Meyer Lemon Explosion.
Outside, guests chilled around the outdoor fireplaces, listening to the laid back summer selections by DJ Nyrdcore. On the roof lounge, Health-Ade inspired guests to take a new look at kombucha, thanks to selections like Pink Lady Apple, Ginger-Lemon, and Sweet Thorn. Those that wanted something a little harder simply went to the outdoor kitchen for cans of Portland Sangria. Whether they preferred Blueberry Basil, Raspberry Loganberry Cardamom, or Lemon Ginger Rosemary, everybody seemed to agree that this was their new official drink of summer! And it paired perfectly with the complimentary strawberries and peaches from Imperfect Produce, the new-to-Portland delivery CSA which helps members combat food waste by eating “ugly” fruits and vegetables!
It wasn’t all eating and drinking at this party! DIY Bar set up a craft studio where guests could get their hands dirty (but not TOO dirty)! As they made custom keychains, Yelpers browsed the menu of craft-and-sip projects like concrete coasters, leather can koozies or even paracord dog collars! For those that wanted a little pampering, European Wax Center transformed the spacious yoga studio into a pop-up spa. Whether they went for a full eyebrow waxing or simply had a makeup touch-up, Yelpers somehow left this party looking even better than when they arrived!
After spending so much time enjoying the community amenities, the Yelp Elites had just one demand: show us the apartments! The team at NV were happy to oblige, and two model units were opened for extra party space. Everybody was impressed with the apartments’ clean lines and industrial accents. They were also surprised to discover the stainless steel refrigerators were stocked with cocktails!
Finally, partygoers made their way to the 20th floor Sky Home, a two-level unit with unparalleled views. It was here that guests were welcomed by the new neighborhood hotspot Pearl Tavern. The executive chef served mouth-watering fried chicken sandwiches alongside bruschetta made with goat cheese and fresh peaches! They even set up a craft cocktail bar, where bartenders served the soon-to-be-famous Pineapple Smash! Between the food, the drink, and the epic view, NV and Pearl Tavern built a sky high lounge that was truly VIP.
As the sun went down over the West Hills, attendees slowly made their way back down to the lobby. Each guest was offered a swag bag full of gift carts and coupons to all of the evenings’ sponsors.
