Today more than ever, consumers are seeking businesses that prioritize sustainability. To help consumers easily find and support businesses that align with their values, Yelp announced new searchable eco-friendly business attributes and a new Sustainability Resource Hub for businesses. As part of this debut, Yelp communities nationwide held local events to give back to the planet, and Portland joined in!
To celebrate Earth Month, Yelp Elites in Portland were invited to the South Waterfront’s newest community! The Dylan offers stylish studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom floor plans, as well a host of amenities: coworking space, fitness center, outdoor spaces, nearby retail, rooftop patio, underground parking, and a dog park. Speaking of Earth Day, they’re LEED Gold certified, have a bike storage room, are walking distance from the tram, have energy-efficient appliances and a recycling program in place.
What’s a Yelp event without food, drink, and fun? Beer, cider, and soda was provided by Growler Guys, and salads from Evergreens fit the theme. Plus, we partnered with Portland Nursery to provide all the supplies Elites needed to plant a succulent and take it home. As a bonus, Elites were invited to bring plants from home for a plant swap! Elites also took part in a photo scavenger hunt to find pictures of famous “Dylans” posted around the property – among them were Bob Dylan, Dil Pickles, Dillon the Pickle, and more.
