On Wednesday, May 31st Phoenix Elites were invited to check out one of Old Town Scottsdale’s newest hot spots, El Panzon y Frida. It was a night filled with mingling, luscious libations, and elegant dishes prepared with Chef Paulina’s unique flare. As per usual, our Elites entered with big smiles on their faces. Their eyes wandered as they admired all of the beautiful features of the restaurant’s design – and we don’t blame them! This restaurant has gracefully merged traditional, rustic, and urban design through the use of many different textures, colors, and their signature mural of Frida Kahlo. It made the perfect selfie backdrop!
Elites were greeted with Yelp schwag, entered a raffle, and met El Panzon’s world-class team. Tables were set with a colorful spread of cheeses, crudites, pickled veggies, dips, breads, and more. Next they passed a variety of appetizers consisting of bruschetta, caprese kabobs, shrimp skewers, fried olives, and vegan gyoza to kickstart the evening. Elites were invited to order a cocktail of their choice at the bar. Their cocktails are all unique – Smoked Tomato Martini anyone? Did we also mention that they have ice cubes with flowers in them? Impressive! As the night progressed, the El Panzon Y Frida team continued to treat Elites like royalty. They passed around Sirloin Sliders, Grilled Octopus, Fish Cakes, Seared Sea Bass, Fried Cornish Hens, and a Bone-In Ribeye on a Himalayan Salt Block; All served family style. Last but certainly not least, dessert was served. Elites indulged in popcorn ice cream with sugar-soaked cherry tomatoes bundled in a lightly fried shell. What a concept! It is safe to say that Elites were blown away by this incredible culinary experience.
We can’t thank the team at El Panzon y Frida enough for helping us create such a memorable night! This is undoubtedly an Elite Event that will be talked about for years to come! Although they may still be recovering from their food comas, Elites have spoken – check out their 5-star reviews here. A huge thank you to Eric Castanos for capturing the evening.
