Philadelphia’s Friday Pool Party

If you’ve been anywhere near Philly recently, you know this summer isn’t messing around! Thankfully, our friends at The Sterling Apartment Homes welcomed Elites and guests for a giant pool party on a scorching Friday afternoon!

The Sterling is in the heart of downtown Philadelphia and their pool is one of a kind — all the way on up the roof, boasting a view of the entire city! Yelpers were escorted up the elevator to the sun deck, where they were greeted by Yelp staff and welcomed to the party. Featuring plenty of modern lounge chairs, chic outdoor couches, tables and umbrellas, the deck was set up for a swanky good time! The crystal clear pool was just the right temp for cooling down and, before long, Elites were taking advantage. Meanwhile, DJ Adam had people grooving to summer tunes. This ‘gram-worthy party was enough to give anyone who wasn’t there some severe FOMO.

Of course, it’s not a party without ample food and drinks! Crisp lager from Yuengling, UFO Pineapple Hefeweizen and Shipyard IPA were sudsy hits. Non-beer lovers enjoyed a summer rum cocktail courtesy of local distilling company Manatawny Still Works. This boozy number packed a punch while offering tons of refreshment. Food was served hot and fresh from the grill by local caterers, Chef’s Table. Chicken, shrimp and veggie skewers served over rice provided a perfect poolside bite. Guests were invited to dessert, which was served in an apartment on the 28th floor, enabling everyone to get a feel for what it would be like to live in the building. Grilled lemon pound cake with key-lime whipped cream and raspberry sorbet, plus complimentary bubbly, were well worth stepping away from the pool for a few minutes.
