Perfect Day Glasgow with Sarah A

Glasgow Yelp Elite, Sarah A, tells us about her Perfect Day in Glasgow…  firstly, with the sun shining from morning (and hopefully lasts) until night time! My partner and I will begin with a healthy stretch and a morning routine of Hatha Vinyasa Yoga at Yoga Meditation Healing at Lansdowne Crescent Lane.

After our workout, we go for a lovely South African inspired brunch, with his usual cup of cappuccino and my usual red (rooibos) latte at Veldt Deli along Great Western Road. Did you know they sell Rooibos tea imported from South Africa itself? They're called Freshpak (I drank these as a kid when I lived in Cape Town).

We then take a stroll along GWR and might end up in 2 places; Lupe Pintos Deli, to get some authentic Mexican ingredients for any night I'm feeling creative and extra spicy in the kitchen, or Cottonrake for some freshly baked cakes or my favourite, macarons!

By afternoon, we'd head towards the Botanic Gardens to relax and sunbath on the incredibly green grass (sometimes we'd take this opportunity to BBQ too!), while watching children, families and their dogs play, and the common Scotsman having a "taps aff" day!

After some relaxation, we'd walk towards Byres Road to Oxfam Music Shop or Play It Again Record shop in Ruthven Lane to browse through some vinyls, hoping to come across a gem or two. And then maybe later, stop by Kember & Jones to pack some freshly baked sourdough bread to eat for the week to come,

By then, I'm probably starving so we'd make our way to Hanoi Bike Shop to grab a delicious and close-to authentic Vietnamese dinner! I love their "local" beef soup, and their Vietnamese coffee reminds me so much of home. 🙂

Afterwards, since sunlight lasts for more than 8 hours nowadays, we'd probably head to a cool place that makes delicious cocktails, has some awesome tunes and a beautiful beer garden or view, like Brel, Ubiquitous Chip or Vodka Wodka in Ashton Lane. Did I mention how obsessed I am with fairy lights? Cause Ashton Lane has some beautiful ones hovering over the street.

After a perfect day out and about in Glasgow, we will then head back to our humble abode in Cowcaddens.
