On Tuesday night the Yelp Elite Squad of Hampton Roads donned their faux lip fuzz in Yelp’s ‘Stache To Bash at Virginia Beach’s Woody McGees. Sporting both real and fake mustaches Yelp Elites were welcomed to tasty eats and special drinks from Norfolk brewery O’Connor’s and Smirnoff Vodka.

Tasty eats you may ask? It was a food lover’s dream that has the reviews spewing on the best dish of the evening. If you ask Joe D “the dish to beat was the pistachio chicken.” Alicia W gave her vote for their 50/50 sliders. The star of the night though may have been the brussel sprout salad. Gabe D claims, “I’d literally find a deep dark corner away from the world and judgment and stuff my whole damn face with that salad." Bloody Mary mussels, fried cheese balls, and Jambalaya rounded out this incredible buffet spread. Woody's sure knows how to put on a great spread of food for everyone!

A special thanks goes out to owners Don Stull and Mike Myers for their wonderful hospitality. In hearing these two share their journey together in the restaurant business you learn the passion these gentlemen have in the business. It’s why Steven A is and will continue to be a regular patron. “I realize they really epitomize the old school restaurateurs who want to give it to you better than you expected it to be every single time.”

For Duane D it was “another 5 star Yelp Elite event at a place that is worthy of 5 stars in itself.” Yelp’s ‘Stache To Bash was a total hit! “All the fake mustaches on display made me wish I hadn't shaved my four inch beard and matching mustache at the end of April,” says Steve F.
