Roppongi’s Royal Treatment

On a beautiful Tuesday night in San Diego's "Jewel City," more than 150 Elites and their guests were invited to a true display of royal treatment. The tables were set, the fire pits were lit, the staff waited in anticipation, and the guests arrived one by one in true style to the welcome of a red carpet. The royal feast was ready to begin! As the spirited and noble group settled in, Roppongi's very own elite group of hard-working bartenders and kitchen staff got to work preparing a series of cocktails and courses fit for a king at Roppongi's Royal Treatment!

The evening kicked off with an incredible list of signature cocktails including three drinks that were featured on the 2013 Yelp Drinks menu — the Roppongi Martini, East Meets West Mojito and the Cucumber Cooler. Sapporo proudly sponsored the event which was a perfect compliment for the beer drinkers of the bunch while house red and white wine allowed the princes and princesses to be at their fanciest. Pinkies out! Oohs and ahhs could be heard with every sip and the crowd could be seen mingling and passing their drinks back and forth sharing their glasses of joy with their fellow Elites. Tiffany A puts it all in perspective by saying, "they obviously wanted us to kick back and relax with the non stop flow of drinks. Loved the Cucumber Cooler… very refreshing!"

And then there was food! The Tapas menu was craftily created and featured Indonesian satays, spring rolls, hamachi tacos, Maine lobster BLTs, a duck quesadilla and two of Samantha S's favorites — the ahi poke and the kobe beef sliders. "The beef on the sliders was tender and melted in my mouth, and the poke was so fresh and delicate." Let's not forget the sushi menu! The Bombay Salmon was a hit but its the Prospect Roll that Andy P is still dreaming about. "THE BEST ITEM OF THE NIGHT. I never ever would have expected a thin lime wedge could totally accent such a unique roll. Spicy crab, tuna, masago all of these were in perfect combination and mouthwatering. You're hit with an unexpected wave of lime while enjoying the other spices and sushi and it just becomes one beautiful party. I loved it. Redeems fusion food right here. Golden ticket item. Please, one voucher for this is all I want."

This party wrap-up would not be complete without mentioning the fine folks at Uber who delivered the prestigious passengers to and from the event safe and sound with a very generous $200.00 round-trip credit. One black car after the next pulled up to the red carpet while the passers by looked on in absolute envy. It was truly a sight to be seen!
