AVANT focuses on unpretentious, approachable cuisine with homegrown culinary touches paired with handcrafted classic cocktails, local craft beer and limited production wines from around the world. The new Chef de Cuisine, Matt Sramek, and his team invited members of the Yelp Elite Squad for a first taste of his new position and delivered a meal that that will go down in Yelp Elite history!
Our night began by toasting Tangerine Margaritas and wines from Oregon and Napa. Next, attendees settled in for supper. Our first course was as beautiful as it was delicious and included their signature Mix & Match chef’s selection of two meats and two cheeses plus mind blowing accoutrement, Fried Brussels Sprouts with medjool dates, cardamom crema and pomegranates as well as a refreshing Beet Spread with smoked hazelnuts. Main Course options were stunning and included options like Crispy Mary’s Farm Half Chicken, Spinach & Ricotta Gnocchi, Pan Roasted Branzino and a fall off the bone Braised Lamb Shank. Dessert was worth raving about: Peanut Butter Semifreddo and Laura Chenel Cheesecake!
