Welcome to Meet The Elite, where we let you in on the lives of some of our top community members. Aside from being the most authentic, social, and influential members of the Yelp community, Elites set the standard for what Yelp's all about – having a passion for local businesses and sharing that love and knowledge with others.

Today we meet Dru C, an Elite since 2011 who is one of the most effervescent people you will ever meet! When he’s not Yelping, you’ll find Dru playing video games and board games, or eating his mom’s home cooking! If you meet him at a party, ask him anything about pop culture – he loves it all!

What’s your favourite Yelp memory?

My best memory is my very first meeting with other Yelpers in 2009 in a karaoke bar. We were having such a great time singing and drinking mojitos. That memory of having such a random wild time is awesome!

What inspires you to keep writing reviews?

I love sharing my experiences with other people. It’s a way for me to share my thoughts and love of food with the world! Yelp is also a food journal for me. My reviews run on emotions, mostly happiness!

What's your favourite best kept secret in Vancouver?

The best kept secret in Vancouver are the mountains in the winter, art galleries in the spring, beaches and parks in the summer, and shopping malls in the fall. Appreciate Vancouver's amazing weather as much as you can!

If you're an expert on anything, what would it be?

I am a TV show expert. I have watched everything from Food Wars to Scandal to Modern Family.
