It’s hard to think of a better way to start the first week of fall than by exploring the new seasonal menu at Bonefish Grill! On September 24, 2018, a group of forty Yelp Elite Squad members and their guests were treated to a multi-course feast of warm fall flavors on Madison’s west side.
Each guest was greeted by a welcoming member of the Bonefish Grill staff and treated to a Spiced Pear Mule to start the night. After a bit of mixing and mingling, everyone took their seats and got a chance to meet the new Managing Partner for Madison’s BFG location, Robert. He shared the Bonefish story and a bit about the menu ahead.
First up was a round of Alaskan cod sliders and wagyu beef sliders. The cod sliders featured a light, crispy breading and the beef sliders were juicy and dressed with crisp lettuce and tomato. Next was a round of lobster fritters, deep-fried and served with spicy and sweet Sriracha honey dipping sauce. Rounding out the trio of appetizers was Bonefish Grill’s signature dish, Bang Bang Shrimp. The crispy shrimp are coated in a rich sauce that is equal parts creamy and spicy.
Next was an entree featuring swordfish and pumpkin ravioli paired with a Chateau St. Michelle riesling. The seasoned swordfish paired beautifully with the sweet pumpkin ravioli that was balanced by the inclusion of feta and crispy fried shallots on top.
The featured “catch of the day” course was salmon dressed with spinach, crispy bacon, and creamy bleu cheese. Accompanying the dish were garlic mashed potatoes, a balsamic reduction, and a glass of cabernet that surprised many in how well it paired with the salmon.
The night wouldn’t be complete without dessert, and Bonefish Grill’s dinner guests were treated to a delectable espresso martini and a flourless macadamia nut brownie. Raspberry sauce and basil whipped cream lightened the rich chocolate dessert for a perfect end. The metaphorical cherry on top was a thank you card containing a gift certificate toward their next visit to Bonefish Grill.
