Let's get something straight: Yelp is not a dating site. Weeeeeeeeell… not in the sense that you think, but we do have a knack for bringing people together and this May in Madison was no exception! When it came to food, drink, the guest list, where people would be sitting, Elites didn't have any deets when they showed up for Yelp's Blind Date at Brasserie V!
If you've ever been on a blind date you know a little liquid courage helps make the evening more bearable, which is why owners Matt and Andrea Van Nest made sure everyone had a glass in hand upon arrival; St. Bernardus Tokyo Wheat Ale for the beer drinkers and Aimé Roquesante Rosé for those wanting wine. From there we took seats for a four course meal with pairings, a "home run" of an evening according to Steve L.
Make for Monroe Street and repeat our experience with someone special!

"It was great to hear from owners Matt and Andrea. Their passion for
what they do is very evident. Leah is really knowledgeable about
wine, and was great to talk to over generous pours. Chef Rob
did a stellar job with the food" finds Shruti W. And Kelly N had never been and noted, "This was the first time I had eaten at Brasserie V, and it definitely
won't be my last."
HUGE thanks go out to BV owners Andrea and Matt, Chef Rob and his team and Leah of Frank Liquor. To say they nailed it is an
understatement. Thanks also to the super-stars of the evening, John and Dorothy of Fountain Prairie Farm, "who were on hand to educate us about how they raise their cattle while honoring both the animal and the land." Steve L insists it's "impressive to meet people that care so much about what they
do, I have a huge amount of respect for them and their efforts." Thanks also to Doug Otto of Papa-Razzi-Photogrhapy for capturing our blind date images!
