Things are popping at Bloom Bake Shop! On Tuesday, April 25th, forty Elites headed to the new Monroe Street location to ring in spring. Attendees started by mingling and trying Bloom’s new spring cocktails including tasty bloody marys, spiked sodas, and seasonal shrub. As the cocktails kept flowing two varieties of pressed pop tarts made their round – mushroom & ramp pesto and cubano. Finally, a table full of cupcakes, brownies, and other tasty treats capped off the parade of edibles before the group gathered to learn how to make shrub. Owner Annemarie Maitri, Madison’s most recent Coast to Coast attendee, gave an informative talk about the history of shrub and passed on her recipe for a strawberry thyme variety.
