Louisville Elites Get Hard Hat Tour Of Logan Street Market

The Yelp Louisville Elite Squad attended an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the soon-to-open Logan Street Market. Safai Coffee took us through coffee roasting 101. Wiltshire Pantry opened their baking kitchen for a tour, demonstration and sampling of baked treats. Nelson And Nahyla’s Kitchen offered us tastings from their upcoming menu, and Logan Street Market helped us quench our thirst with delicious cocktails.

Thanks to our awesome sponsors!

Logan Street Market — This market exists to provide healthy, fresh, local food to an underserved community; to be a leader in sustainable practices and events; to be a community gathering space for people to learn, grow and connect; and to be a premier destination where local chefs and artisans excel. Logan Street Market is a registered Public Benefit Corporation, a model allowing them to execute their social mission while running a sustainable business. Their mission is to provide an avenue for local and regional food and for culture economies to engage the community through the timeless public market model. They serve as a venue for residents from all corners of Jefferson County to interact and grow together.

Safai Coffee — Safai is owned and operated by Mike and Medora Safai. They believe that rather than forcing coffee to suit them, they should understand and adapt their roasting techniques to the strengths and depths of each individual bean.

Wiltshire Pantry — Wiltshire is a retail bakery and cafe that offers breakfast, pastries, and artisan breads, as well as a seasonal rotation of gourmet soups, salads, and sandwiches.

Nelson And Nahyla’s Kitchen — This kitchen is operated by a married couple from Venezuela. Their food is the result of combining the techniques taught by their grandmothers with their own experience, and their brand was created to offer a product that showcases their magical family memories. They want to offer the clients their biggest treasure — the legacy of their ancestors.
