“There are two places that always provide me with calmness and relaxation: a bookstore and a nursery! Today I was introduced to The Plant Kingdom, a locally-owned nursery that is a great alternative to ‘big box’ stores for plant and gardening needs. Having never been to this nursery, I was blown away by their selection of houseplants, perennials, annuals, shrubs, trees, planters and more… As a perk, Yelp Elites were allowed to choose one plant from a prepared selection and received a packet of seeds. I chose a very unusual indoor plant that is a member of the Pilea family with a common name of ‘artillery plant.’ It is a succulent but looks like a lacy fern!” — Tee M
“My new fave coffee place. I will make the drive to come here. I live on the other side of town, but I’m trying to figure out a way to make it during their open hours. The owner was sweet and inviting. She walked me through the entire menu, all the while we just chatted it up like we knew each other. She creates a great atmosphere and also has her regulars who she knows by name or order. I ordered the sweet potato tea. Weird name, and I was leery on trying it, but she said it was good. Who am I not to take the recommendations of a coffee/tea connoisseur? So I tried it! I literally thought I was drinking a sweet potato pie. Of course I got it sweetened, which made it even better. How refreshing it was as well.” — Caroline H
“Very cool and awesome Yelp event that really is a two-for-one event as you get to enjoy the perks of Lodgic Everyday Community and the Clever Moose Cafe. The Lodgic workspace is really nice and spacious that affords you plenty of space to do your work needs. It even has a couple of private booths enclosed for important calls or Zooms. All the chairs and seating are very comfortable, and they have nice decor. They had a coffee area for unlimited drinks and a kitchen area with free snacks and a water… As part of the perk, you got a banh mi sandwich. I chose the chicken, and it was very tasty.” — Joseph G
“Since the start of the pandemic, I have been an avid fan of ordering food via an app! Ordering my nachos via the app was extremely easy, and my order was exactly how I wanted it. The restaurant was clean and welcoming, and the workers were friendly and accommodating. It only took 10 minutes for my food to be ready. My nachos looked amazing and fresh, and they tasted even better than they looked!!! I loved them so much that I decided to go again today. I loved the freshness of the ingredients and how the flavors are strong, yet subtle. I’m definitely a fan!” — Tamika M
“What an amazing treat today! I went to go grab my small grazing box… They had a little store section where they sell more cheese, wine and other drinks. I also picked up a honeycomb while I was there since — you know, why not? I just start grazing my small box and am so happy with the amount of cheese and the variety of cheese! My favorite so far is the blueberry goat cheese. So delicious. I’ll definitely be back for more grazing. Thank you, Board and You!” — Sandra W
“Such an awesome place and a great Elite Week event!.. The space itself is really cute. They did a great job decorating. And the staff were all so nice and helpful. I did some low-key recruiting, trying to get them both to be Yelp Elites. LOL. We waited to eat until we got home, so you’ll see all my to-go boxes. Then I cut my biscuit in half because it was huge but delicious. I’ll definitely be back. I love that this spot is in my neighborhood!” — Kelsey P
“Super excited to have been able to attend the soft opening. Free tacos? Check! Great service? Check! Coming back for margaritas in the future? Check! Thankful for the opportunity to be able to try all the tasty food Agave & Rye had to offer. This was my first time going to any of their locations. My friend and I started off with the sampler of dips and tortilla chips. If you’ve never tried the pineapple habanero salsa I highly recommend… Upon taco arrival, yum is all I can say. For dessert, we split the carrot cake, and it was quite tasty. I look forward to their grand opening. I will be back for sure!” — Crissy R
“Georgia’s Sweet Potato Pie Company has such a cute little shop! It smells absolutely amazing. I literally got hungry as soon as I opened the door. Whether you are looking for pies, cookies, cupcakes, brownies, ice cream, candles or even wax melts, you can find them at Georgia’s! Our Elite perk included a candle of choice (I picked the Sweet Potato Brownie), an apple tea from Fleur de Tea and some red Yelp gloves. Thanks so much!” — Alessandra B
“What a fun way to kick off 2021! My cocktail (affectionately known as Blood Orange Yum) was fantastic. The black cherry bourbon is bright with a pop and a kick — think college cheerleader. The blood orange makes it perfect for winter. Music was on point! Great job of balancing volume and chat at the end and enjoyed hearing some popular tunes throughout. Props to Legacy Spirits and In The Mix for bringing a great celebration of Local Choice alcohol to those of us in attendance tonight.” — Megan E
