It's the most wonderful time of the year, especially for 300 LA West Elites who came out to James' Beach and Canal Club for the Yelp Elite Holidays at The Beach!
It may be cold outside, but Elites quickly warmed up with an open bar, live steel drums and Santa Claus. The best part about this event? Almost all attendees brought a gift to donate to the Muscle Beach Toy Drive. We collected over 500 gifts for deserving children this holiday season.
After donating their toy, guests were given a raffle ticket and one lucky winner walked away with their very own bottle of Veuve Clicquot! Santa sprinkled every nook and cranny of James' Beach and Canal Club with Yelp schwag: Santa hats, gloves, key chains and shot glasses galore! The best beachy holiday costume won a free dinner at Canal Club! Congratulations to Laura T! Plus several lucky Yelpers who left tips on their mobile will receive 2 complimentary tickets to Iris by Cirque Du Soleil.
A sushi station, a taco station, passed quesadillas and more gave the yelpers quite the assortment of bites. And it wouldn't be a holiday party without cookies! Towards the end of the night, plates upon plates of cookies were passed around the venue as well as creme brulee and chocolate cake!
Rebecca P notes, "margaritas were made just right by expeditious bartenders who made it clear that you could order nearly anything you wanted!" And Flora H sure got her fill, "Once totally stuffed, out came the creme brulee and hot chocolate
cake with melted chocolate inside… Which of course I had to eat,
because they were delish. Polished off a mojito to finish the evening
and went home a happy gal.
Yeah, I'm still stuffed from last night."
Pauline C sums it up well: "The Yelp Christmas events get better every year. This year it was so
epic, it couldn't be contained in one location. Two! Double the fun,
double the food, double it all. Sushi, tacos, sliders, ceviche, cookies, pot stickers, dranks. What else could one ask for? If you yearned for a loud and packed environment, canal club was your
spot. If you wanted to chill out and sit down and enjoy some
conversation, james beach was it. I graced (haha!) both venues with my
attendance and quite liked the james beach side more just to get away
from all the craziness near the end of the night.
Holiday cheer, Yelp style. Complete with island themed music and decor."
And Jessica S tells us exactly what makes a good party: "Any party with free food, free drinks, a champagne giveaway, a theme,
party props, and a photo booth, where the guests contribute to a good
cause, is a good party!" Each guest left with a gift bag (as it is the season for giving!). Free passes to Equinox in Marina Del Rey, a VIP card to return to James' Beach and Canal Club and a 20% off card to Mercado De Vetro!
Special thanks to Ryan Caliendo whose photos you can peak at here and to PinkShutterPhotoBooths.
Happy Holidays!
