The tiny family owned Dominique's Kitchen opened their doors to Elites on Monday night for a taste of their favorite things at 'Joe De Vivre.' Native to France, Dominique has perfected dishes like risotto, braised short ribs and creme brulee. He and his wife Liza were gracious hosts, and made Elites feel quite at home.
The space was set with several stations that included classic French items like fondue, escargot and meats and cheeses. Trisha A couldn't get enough of the escargot: "The escargots were just to die for! my mouth is literally drooling as I am writing this!"
Janea W loved the short ribs: "The short ribs were so tender and the accompanying vegetables were also
perfectly cooked. I generally do not enjoy cooked carrots but these were
not too soft or mushy, and the salt balance was perfect. I could eat this
over and over."
Jason K sums up the night, "Thank you to Dominique's Kitchen and the awesome Yelp leads for putting
together this wonderful event for the Elite community. It was a
pleasure getting to sample some fantastic French cuisine in the comfort
of lovely Southern California. This is a solid restaurant with
delicious food, and the locals of the South Bay should know that."
