Edmonton Elites experienced a true adventure at an Indiana Jones themed event at Telus World of Science. Chef David Omar from Zinc Restaurant created seven gourmet meatballs from a bison meatball with gorgonzola cream to a chickpea meatball with coconut curry. Yelpers also enjoyed sweet treats from the Italian Centre Shop and samples of exotic spices from The Silk Road Spice Merchant. Cha Island had 3 refreshing loose leaf ice teas on hand, and there was an exciting selection of drinks from Whitehorse-based brewers Yukon Brewing Company with beer, whisky and liquor. Charles Smith Wines was on hand, as was the phenomenal Absolut Elyx vodka; manually distilled in a 1921 copper rectification still known as Column 51, and made entirely of copper! Following all of this, Yelpers visited the Telus World of Science's current feature exhibit: Indiana Jones and the Adventure of Archeology Exhibit. It combines stories from the Indiana Jones movies, and real archeology artifacts from National Geographic in a fun, interactive and informative exhibit.
