Yelp Louisville explored the ins and outs of the art of the cocktail with Hendrick’s Gin Ambassador Mattias Horseman, in the stunning art galleries of 21c Museum Hotel Louisville. We tried several cocktails expertly paired with the art, set out at stations around the hotel’s museum space, and we enjoyed appetizers from Proof on Main in 21c Museum Hotel.

21c Museum Hotel Louisville — For more than a decade, 21c Louisville has been engaging visitors and locals alike with some of the world’s best contemporary art. Just look up when you arrive, and you’ll notice this ethos right away, towering over 7th and Main streets — a double-size replica of David (inspired by Michelangelo). Once you’re inside, you can explore the current exhibition; dine next to Fallen Fruit: The Practices of Everyday Life, the vivid installation lining the walls at Proof on Main; or sleep in Asleep in the Cyclone a multicolored site-specific installation that doubles as a guest room.
Proof on Main — Eat and drink with art. Whether you stop in for cocktails or a casual bite, the bar at Proof is one of Louisville’s best places to people watch. With a carefully selected spirits collection — that reflects a dedication to quality, diversity and originality — our bartenders are always ready to shake it up.
Hendrick’s Gin — No other gin tastes like Hendrick’s because no other gin is made like Hendrick’s. They infuse the gin with the remarkable Bulgarian Rosa Damascena and specially selected cucumbers from the finest producers. Hendrick’s Gin is hand-crafted in tiny batches of only 500 lovely liters at a time, which gives the master distiller greater control of her careful artistry.
