Dressed in their tackiest aloha wear, 175+ Yelp Elites (& their +1s) played tourist during Yelp's Polynesian Field Trip at the Polynesian Cultural Center! Guests started off their journey in the lap of luxury via VIP Tour buses which came complete with a local narrator who gave insights on interesting historical facts and landmarks.
Famished from their bus ride, yelpers were escorted in the newly renovated Gateway Restaurant. They were treated to the Island Buffet which featured multiple stations of authentic dishes from throughout the Pacific such as Fijian chicken curry and koko alaisa, along with a variety of kamaaina favorites. Winning dish of the night? Faye M shares, "mini gummy bears and M&Ms at the salad bar! Everybody was tripping out, I've never seen any type of candy at the salad bar!
Yeeps got to know one another over all-you-can-eat plates piled high with food from all around the world. Leimalani F questions: "Was it just me or was this the longest buffet line on the planet? Seriously, this was 50 feet of food at least!"
Stuffed to the brim, guests were awoken by the HA: Breathe of Life show which has entertained more than a million guests and Lynvi S states was "beautiful, mesmerizing, entertaining, and executed very tastefully. There wasn't a dull moment in the show and" she "was especially impressed with the fire show towards the end. It was insane!" To cool off from the heat of the show Jody S imbibed on the "free pineapple delight dessert during the intermission. Those portion sizes looked like they were meant for a large Polynesian man, not a small Japanese girl!" Word!
