William Shakespeare once said, "although I love writing plays, Yelp is my real outlet for writing." Yes Bill S, if we had an Elite Squad in your day you'd surely sport the snazzy Elite badge. Modern day word wizards and reviewsmiths, the Indy Elite Squad, gathered at The City Market for a night of Elizabethan revelry.
Elites were greeted at the gates by the City Market's all-Indiana beer bar — Tomlinson Tap Room — with a pint glass (to go ahead & keep) of Sun King Brewing's limited run of Nelson Ale. They washed down Circle City Soups pesto wrap & Bayou Black Bean Soup, and 3 Days in Paris Green Eggs & Ham(let) Crepes with a keg of Sun King's Bitter Druid ESB & Zodiac Vodka at The Yelp Bar.
The last Yelp Eliter to be seen in catacombs might just have been Bill S himself. Until now. The City Market was built in 1847, and so deftly created a system of tunnels underneath the market; thus, a private, exclusive tour of the catacombs for the Elite Squad.
After Elites filled up on sudsy, savory & sweet treats, Shakespeare At The Yelp opened up to the public as the only free Shakespeare of the summer in downtown Indy. The Lawrenceburg Shakespeare Company, North completed all of Bill S's work in just 90 minutes, in very yelpy fashion. Now we wonder… how long would it take them to complete a performance of the 20 million reviews on Yelp?
