Find Your Inner Chaska

Oh Chaska, you had us as soon as we entered and were greeted with warm smiles and the “Mayavi”; a beautiful cocktail of muddled mandarin, prosecco, peach, lemon and orange bitters. Every guest was blown away by the incredibly passionate and knowledgeable staff from the moment they entered through the beautiful doors into the new and exciting Indian-fusion eatery Chaska located at Garden City Center in Cranston, RI. From the restaurant group that brought you Rasa in East Greenwich, Rasoi in Pawtucket and Kabob and Curry in Providence comes a truly unique experience that takes you to another land. One of the first things you notice upon entering the warm and inviting space is the stunning artwork and antiques repurposed as decor. The giant light fixtures in the center of the dining room are repurposed bells from Hindu Temples, the banquet that divides the bar and dining room is a traditional fishing boat and there are tiny ancient perfume bottles adorning the bar – basically, it’s an Instagrammer’s dream!

The name of the restaurant, Chaska is the Hindi term for obsession and that’s just how you’ll feel when you taste their unique cuisine! Jennifer M. enthusiastically noted in her review that “Having never tried Indian food before, I was very skeptical and wow I think I may actually become OBSESSED!  The flavors were out of this world! The Indian Flatbread was better than pizza, the Chicken Tikka was mouth watering good, as was the Buratta Butter Chicken!! I could just keep going on and on about how delicious ALL the food was!!!” Our Yelp Elite Squad was treated to so many tasty and aesthetically pleasing dishes that we definitely overheard guests discussing nirvana. From the first bite of Three Corn ‘Bhel’ Salad, Madras BBQ Mushrooms, Buratta Butter Chicken, and Grilled Lamb Chops to the last bite of the Chaska Dessert Platter, the menu could not have been better balanced. Jeffrey, the manager, took his time to check in with every guest and explained the intricacies of each dish with fervor.
