In 1939, Oronzo and Angela Bavaro immigrated from Italy to New York with little more than their family recipes and dreams. In September 2021 The Tampa Bay Yelp Elite Squad got to experience both their dreams and recipes at an Event that paid homage to family tradition, while celebrating innovation.
During Oronzo’s Family Supper, Yelp Elites connected to each other through their own family recipes and traditions. And of course over delicious food from the Oronzo kitchen. The guests loved getting to personalize their orders using the kiosks. From focaccia to zucchini noodles, power bowls, and flatbread the range was endless. And there was something for every member of the family.
The signature Oronzo house-made Piadina bread especially dazzled Elites in the form of Italian burritos. That’s right – we said Italian burritos! And since words can’t do it justice you must see this.
In addition to singing the praises of their delicious dinner, guests were swooning over the sounds from live musician, Akiem AKA The Boom Bap Jazz Master. Swoon with us by checking out the rest of the photos and reading Event highlights on Yelp.
We are so lucky that Dan Bavaro officially welcomed YES! into the family at Oronzo’s in New Tampa. We look forward to being a part of the family journey. Did you know that you can find Dan and his entire family at their restaurants across town? If Dan himself isn’t taking your order he might be wiping down a table, or training someone on the art of pizza making. You can learn more about the Bavoro’s family online.
Oronzo is also available for order takeout, and is easy to order online: https://www.oronzo.com/ Keep up with Oronzo on Yelp, as well as through Facebook and Instagram @OronzoItalian to see when the newest location at Midtown will open. You can also visit Bavaro’s Pizza in downtown Tampa, St. Pete, and Sarasota. You won’t want to miss those check in offers.
