Yelp Elites are known as the creme de la creme of Yelpers, constantly sharing great local finds via reviews, photos, tips, and videos. And once these Yelp superstars have earned 5 or more years of Elite status, their Elite badge turns from red to GOLD. A momentous occassion in the life of any Yelper.
In the East Bay, Gold Elites were treated to an endless seafood feast at Hang Ten Boiler in Hayward. Owners, Paul and Mai Wong were thrilled to roll out the red carpet for these esteemed Elites and reward them for their contributions to Yelp and support of local businesses like theirs. Hang Ten treated Elites to a sit-down dinner with course after course of their signature Cajun/Hawaiian fusion grub. From house-made lumpia to pulled pork fries to bottomless bowls of crab, crawfish, and shrimp, this was truly a meal fit for Elites. Lucky Buddha beers and sparking Mia wines helped wash down each spicy bite.
"Hang Ten exists because of Yelpers like you," Paul Wong told the crowd of Gold Elites. "We've listened to your feedback and created Hang Ten with your help."
