As part of Yelp’s Create KC event series, Hand & Land in Leawood, KS threw a special pop-up event to introduce the Yelp community to some talented local makers.
A local boutique, Hand & Land has quintessentials for living a natural, simple and thoughtful lifestyle. They opened their doors for this pop-up party and had a station set up for guests to make their own room & linen sprays.
A taste of fall settled in on the evening of the event with a little chill in the air, making it perfect weather for sampling. Union Horse Distillery was on site with various whiskey and bourbon samplings, all distilled a handful of miles down the road.
Also available for a warm up were organic, local lavender farmers, Joe and Christina of Sweet Streams. They were there showcasing their incredible teas, candles and soaps with the lavender from their nearby farm.
Shine Candle Co., a small batch candle maker out of Olathe, KS, had some amazing fall scents as well as tea light candles for guests to take home.
As if the candles, whiskey and relaxing lavender wasn’t enough to put everyone into a totally relaxed state, Lauren Chavez of Blue Bird Wellness Co. was offering complimentary massages and reiki energy work.
Shoutout to all the wonderful hosts, and as Yelper Neeca B. put it, “So impressed with the ingenuity, ambition, kindness and sheer hustle of these amazing human beings. Thank you for sharing your sincerity and passion!” Read the rest of the reviews and check out the photos here.
