East Johnson Street is open for business, and this month many in Madison hit the street to celebrate at Yelp's Jam On Johnson, a street-wide end of construction celebration in collaboration with Tenney-Lapham Neighborhood Association, Capitol East Business Association and Next Door Brewing. The festivities began with remarks from Alder Ledell Zellers and Mayor Paul Soglin, followed by a ribbon cutting and then a four hour open house, featuring live music, in-store experiences, complimentary tastings and shopping specials at 18 locally loved businesses! Word on the street: Madison residents have a renewed appreciation for a revitalized East Johnson Street and the resilient businesses that endured traffic congestion and economic uncertainty this past summer!
