It's summertime… the season we Clevelanders take seriously (since it doesn't last long) with lots of sunglasses, al fresco dinning, and outdoor activities. And if you were one of the lucky 50 that made it out to Ol' McYelpy Had A Farm, you know summer’s arrival is something to squeal about!

Washington Place Bistro & Inn was the perfect spot to ring in our favorite season and the longest day of the year (which just so happened to also be the hottest and most humid day ever!) Elites and their guests were hosted on the gorgeous patio with a menu that boasts more locally sourced, farm fresh food than you can shake a stick at! The staff served an impressive spread of artisan flat-bread pizzas, shots of asparagus soup with bacon and goat cheese filled that torts that had yelpers yearning for more.

Meanwhile, Ohio-bred Watershed Distillery kept us from completely melting with ice cold, refreshing cocktails with their signature vodka and gin. Washington Place put their own spin on 'em by whipping up sparkling cosmos and bees knees for all to enjoy! Talk about livin' la vida local! Magic Hat was also there to help us bear the heat with bottles of their #9 and Summer IPA. If there is a better way to cool down, I don't want to know.

Elites were also greeted with their 2011 Squad gift from Yelp! Oh yeah—who wouldn't want to sport one of these bad-ass digital watches? But the giving didn't stop there. Guests also scooped up some of the freshest Yelp schwag to come 'round these parts. Yelp hand fans were clearly a favorite on this sweltering day, but folks were getting all riled up over the playing cards, ponchos, sunglasses and Yelp Eats mints! The two most farm-tastically dressed peeps really kicked their boots when they won watering cans filled with gardening tools, seeds, gloves, ponchos, sunglasses and tickets worth $40-100 to Ingenuity's Speakeasy party and a pass to one of the NEO Food Tours! The Speakeasy party passes will earn them complimentary dinner, drinks, entertainment, dancing at more at one of the hottest events this season. Congrats to yelper Lin W and guest Vasanth Pappu for being the two, lucky winners.

What's a farm party without some barn animals, right? Our favorite photog and country gal, Jenny of The Cleveland Photobooth, took some ahh-mazing shots of us on bales of straw donning pig snouts, corncob pipes, straw hats, chicken beaks, beards and more!
Many huge and sincere thank yous go out to Megan, Scott, and the entire Washington Place staff, who not only hosted us and made the night awesome, but busted their butts in the intense heat serving up lots of hot yelpers. Also, thanks to Kelly from Watershed Distillery for pouring lots of locally-made and delicious spirits down out snouts and Jenny of The Cleveland Photobooth for snapping these party pics. Last, but not least, thank you to all the Elites and their guests who also braved the heat to come hang out!

Relive the farm fresh experience through others by reading the event reviews! Didn’t get a chance to write one? It’s not too late! Dan S may have put it best when he yelped, “I had such a great time at this event, as always, and major props to the Washington Place Bistro's servers who braved the heat right along side all the yelpers!"

Yee-haw 'n' SYOY!
