The San Diego Elite squad and guests strapped on their wackiest glasses and filed into the subterranean American Comedy Co. for a night of fun, food and laughs appropriately titled, Yelp's Laughs & Drafts. Packed in and escaping the Indian summer heat, The crowd was treated to food, drinks and jokes making it easy to cut loose at another fantastic event!
Guests checked in and instantly began scanning the room as every corner was filled with drink stations, photo opportunities and schwagged out tables to chill out at after a long day. Once comfortable, the mingling had begun, drinks and food were ready to be served and a night of unexpected twists and turns was ready to embark!
Lots of fantastic people and organizations made this night one for the memory books. The San Diego Festival of Beer landed some great local breweries to pour their finest suds including Coronado Brewing Company and neighboring The Beer Company. In much surprise to many of the guests, the night did not consit of only beer. The fine folks from Lorimar Winery contributed wine to appease the non beer drinkers and two stunning spokemodels from Cayman Jack served up bottles of their malt based margarita. Jessica and the staff from American Comedy Co. kept the glasses filled and were constantly on the move ensuring that all attendees got to sample such menu items as cajun chicken eggrolls, loaded potato wontons, garlic hummus with pita bread and chicken paninis. Let's not overlook the Drink-A-Palooza game stirring up the Elites in the back while Taylor Williamson's comedy and Greg Santos' roast of San Diego CM Brad B. left the crowd in absolute stitches. Speaking of crowds… the line for Caricatures by Dave had a line of willing subjects from the time the doors opened until the last drink was served. Now that's some sketchy activity!
As the night started to wind down it was raffle ticket time! There were several winning tickets and some lucky winners walked out with a tickets to San Diego Fashion Week, entries to Citysolve, a Drink-A-Palooza game and tickets to The San Diego Festival of Beer while the rest of the crowd cheered and took time for some last minute photo opportunities.
A big thank you goes out to all of the Elites in attendance from all of our sponsors and of course San Diego Yelp! Thank you for showing up in style and making it a night to remember! As always, you can find all the incriminating photos on the Yelp Flickr page. Cheers!
