Ah the dog days of summer in KC, synonymous with a lazy, thick air, the buzzing call of cicadas, and Christmas lights aglow. Well maybe not that last part, but when you get a bunch of Yelp Elites together into the beautiful event space at Lifted Spirits Distillery, you get an epic, Christmas in July themed bash.
Despite the heat index, the crew at Lifted Spirits were able to whip up some delicious holiday cocktails like the “Silent Night,” with orange-hibiscus-cardamom infused vodka, cherry heering, Lillet blanc and bitters. Beyond the tasty tastings, Yelpers were educated on how the distillery operates and given a special, behind-the-scenes tour.
It wouldn’t be a holiday party without food, so the good folks at Ambrosia Catering not only catered the event but brought their food truck. Portabella Mushroom sandwiches, an almost too beautiful to eat Sonoma Torte, and even a holiday themed Turkey Stuffing Meatball were some of the delicious highlights. Look for their new restaurant coming soon to Downtown Overland Park, KS.
It was also the perfect opportunity to give back to the local community, and KC Elites showed out by contributing 100 books for little ones to the local non-profit, The Family Conservancy.

Big thanks to all the event sponsors!
