It was a lovely summer evening, and Sam, the Nando’s Marketing Manager and the restaurant team in Skokie, rolled out the red carpet and treated Yelp North Shore Elites to a night filled with family-style dining, PERi-PERi sauce demos, hands-on sauce making, and of course a history lesson about Nando’s. Did you know Nando’s has the largest private collection of emerging Southern African art in the world?
Upon arrival, guests were treated to anything from the bar and seated with a variety of appetizers waiting on the tables––hummus and pita, olives, nuts, and garlic sticks. Soon after, delicious platters of Nando’s famous PERi-PERi chicken came out, along with flame-grilled corn on the cob, Portuguese rice, and fries (A.K.A. PERi chips). The Naughty Natas, Portuguese custard tarts, were a dessert hit for all. To wrap up the event, guests left with a complimentary gift bag containing a bottle of sauce and a voucher towards a future meal. Peep the photos and read the five-star reviews right here.
