Keeping a business fresh and interesting for over 80 years is no easy feat, but Frances’ Deli and Brunchery has done just that. Since 1938, Frances’ has been serving up all the meats one could ever dream of, and within the last year, they’ve been spicing things up even more by sprucing up their brunch menu! On February 20, Frances’ invited fifty lucky Elites to a private after hours event to show off the dishes they’re most proud of.
Elites began checking in around 6pm, and were greeted by staff from Frances’. An array of appetizers were brought out, like pastrami and habanero stacks and sausage bites like maple chicken apple sausage, spicy pork, and jerk turkey. As they checked in, their names were entered into a raffle to win a $100 gift card to come back to Frances’ Deli and Brunchery.
Everyone who attended was given the option of a variety of free drinks, like Old Style Beer (thank you, Pabst, for your sponsorship!), soft drinks, and water, along with a mimosa or white wine — with so many options, how did they even choose?!
As everyone began to settle in, Chef Derek Rylon and Chris H from Frances’ greeted the group and said a few words about the dream behind the business, and talked about some of the menu items available before bringing them out. So what was on the menu, you ask? Some fabulous eats were brought out, like French toast flights, potato pancakes, chicken and waffle bites, and mini prime rib and provolone on ciabatta. Frances’ was very generous and the service was delightful — how could you *not* love a place where the people who work there are so great at their jobs?!
