Chicago Elites Fly Through The Air At AIR South Loop

Sometimes the best part of exploring your favorite city is trying something you never thought you’d do. This week, AIR Aerial Fitness South Loop gave 18 Chicago Elites the opportunity to do just that, by offering an exclusive complimentary class with AIR South Loop’s owner and instructor, Hannah Wolf.

AIR classes blend elements of Pilates, conditioning, ballet and high-intensity interval training on aerial hammocks. The offered class was beginner-level, so there was no previous aerial fitness experience or talent required!

Though it was pouring rain outside, everyone began arriving to the quaint studio on South Michigan Avenue promptly at 7pm to start checking in at the front desk. As Elites checked in, they were offered complimentary Bai Antioxidant Water and Yelp swag, while Hannah helped them pick out the perfect hammock for their workout. Around 7:15, it was time to start!

While some Elites had tried aerial fitness before, this was still a high-intensity workout for all. Along with using their core for almost an entire hour, everyone had weights at their hammocks as well — Chicago Elites do NOT mess around! As with most beginner-level classes at AIR, Hannah offered variations of certain poses or moves, so everyone could enjoy the class at their own level of comfort. Some people were more comfortable with staying on the safe side, while some were literally ready to hang upside down! By the end of the class, every single person was glistening with both sweat and pride.

After the group workout, Hannah let everyone know that AIR South Loop not only offers beginner classes, but more advanced as well, and that they have another location in River North, too. Many Elites took photos of their favorite pose of the evening, some stretched it out, and some went straight for the mimosas and snacks.

Right after their workout, Elites were offered grapefruit and blood orange mimosas, complimentary of Bai Antioxidant Bubbles, and an array of KIND snacks, like Dark Chocolate Banana and Vanilla Blueberry Almond bars. They were also gifted Yelp swag bags, complete with selfie ring lights.
