All five senses were heightened for last night's Yelp Charlotte Elite event at Yama Asian Fusion! Elites and their were treated to an evening of sensory fun that will not be forgotten! Feast your eyes on this delicious wrap up…!
Upon arrival to Yama's lovely patio, Elites dropped off their tunes at the Elite CD swap, complete with listening station and an array of sure-to-be loved tunes. The Best of Wilson Phillips was one of the first to fly off the shelf, in addition to Angie P's Yelp Ultimate Running/Workout mix! John H remarks, "The CD swap was fun…there seemed to be an overwhelming amount of BackStreet Boys CDs in the pile…I rolled the dice and picked up a nice CD mix someone had created!"
Once tuneage was settled, guests sipped on three wines courtesy of Fetzer: Gewürztraminer, Reisling and Bonterra Sauvignon Blanc. And don't overlook the bevy of beer provided by Sapporo, by way of Tryon Distributing! For sake fanatics, Yama showcased its incredible rice wine knowledge with an array of sake tastings! Will H crushed hard on the "Gewurztraminer. Slightly sweet white wine but off-dry with heavy notes of floral and fruit – the perfect accompaniment to sushi. If you were not happy with beverage selection, I've got a glass of ice water for you to sip and then dump on your wayward head!"
To go along with the beautiful array of beverages, Yama went above and beyond by bringing out massive boats filled to the brim with sushi selections, piles of fried rice, shrimp shumai, edamame and much more. Angie P says, "The sushi was delicious! Everything I put on my plate made my tummy happy."
When it comes to the sense of touch, Elements Therapeutic Massage has it down pat! Elites were treated to comforting hand massages and back and neck massages just steps away from the party! Lauryn C found comfort through the hands of the talented masseurs: "Bobby from Elements Massage started my evening out right with a chair massage…I look forward to booking a full hour with Elements in the near future! That 5 minute teaser was all I needed to know that I'll receive a great massage from them."
It's a good thing Tonya P from Poprock Photography was on hand to capture all the sense-ational action being had. Check out all the pics on our Yelp Charlotte Flickr page and be sure to Yelp your feedback by way of the official event review page!
Until next time, SYOY!
