El pasado domingo 28 de abril tuvimos un evento muy especial en el restaurante Teresa Carles del Raval: un fabuloso brunch a base de dulces y salados, bloody marys, mimosas, y otros tentempiés que preparamos para nuestros Élites y demás invitados, todo ello amenizado por los “beats” que Dj Eli mezcló para nosotros. Álvaro P comentó que “el local estaba lleno de detalles de Yelp, la música estaba presente pero sin ser la protagonista, pudiendo charlar con el resto de asistentes sin necesidad de gritar y disfrutando a tope de la mañana”. Además, nadie quiso faltar al evento a pesar de ser un día lluvioso… ¡gracias chicos, qué grandes sois!
Al llegar al restaurante los invitados podían escoger su copa de bienvenida, donde la gran triunfadora fue la de Bloody Mary, ideal para la resaca y presente en cualquier brunch que se precie. Una vez estuvieron todos los asistentes, se fueron sentando en las mesas donde había colocada una carta con sus respectivos nombres y una descripción detallada sobre lo que probarían a continuación.Los asistentes pudieron disfrutar de un “basket de repostería artesana” con magdalenas veganas de chocolate negro y pera caramelizada, así como de magdalenas de manzana, canela y jengibre. También pudieron degustar un “vegan cake” con harina integral, plátano, nueces, y cobertura de chocolate negro. Hasta aquí lo dulce; el plato principal fueron los “Veggi Eggs Benedict” con muffins caseras, “huevos cometa”, salteado de espinacas, cebolla caramelizada y shitake, salsa suave trufada y patata blanca gallega “crispy”. Todo ello estuvo acompañado por diferentes bebidas, agua y tés. A Noelia L “le encantó la magdalena de manzana y canela, y poder descubrir porqué el nombre de huevos cometa gracias a Jordi, el simpático y atento dueño del Teresa Carles que respondió a todas sus dudas”.
Desde aquí queremos volver a agradecer al restaurante Teresa Carles su amabilidad, la calidad de sus productos y la fantástica presentación de todo lo que pudimos probar durante el evento; Tambén a Dj Eli por el “Deep house” tan apropiado para el momento y a Francisco G por estas fabulosas instantáneas que podéis ver en nuestro set de fotos de Flickr. On Sunday April 28th we had a very special event at Teresa
Carles restaurant in the Raval neighborhood: a fabulous brunch which included bloody
marys, mimosas, and other snacks that we prepared for our Elites and other
guests, all enlivened by the "beats" that Dj Eli mixed for us. Alvaro
P said that "the place was full of details of Yelp, the music was present,
but was not the protagonist, being able to talk with the other attendees
without having to scream and enjoying the morning". Besides, no one wanted
to miss the event despite it was a rainy day … thanks guys, how great you
are!
At the restaurant, the guests could choose their welcome
drink, where the big winner was the Bloody Mary, ideal for the worst hangover and
present at any brunch. Once they were all in attendance, they started sitting
at the tables where they had placed a card with their names and a detailed
description of what they were going to try.
Attendees could taste a "basket of artisan
pastries" with black chocolate vegan cupcakes and caramelized pear, also apple
muffins, with cinnamon and ginger. They could also try a "vegan cake"
with flour, banana, nuts, and chocolate frosting black. The main course was the
"Veggi Eggs Benedict" with homemade muffins, "eggs comet",
sautéed spinach, caramelized onions and shitake, truffle sauce and white and "crispy"
potatoes. All this was accompanied by various beverages, water and teas. Noelia
L "loved the apple and cinnamon muffin, and to find out why the name Comet
eggs, cause Jordi, the friendly and attentive Teresa Carles owner,
answered all her questions".
We would like to again thank the restaurant Teresa Carles
their kindness, the quality of their products and the fantastic presentation of
everything we could try during the event, and also to Dj Eli for the super
