Since 2001, Jane Restaurant has served as a beacon in their SoHo neighborhood for local regulars and destination diners alike. Now Jane has come to Brooklyn with the same straightforward, seasonal fare, and last night she welcomed the best of Brooklyn Yelp in for an unforgettable intro to their brand new space! With quality cocktails flowing from the bar (don’t miss out on The Bramble), oysters being shucked fresh, and good company all around, you couldn’t have asked for a nicer evening. It’s rare that sliders are so perfectly cooked, but Chef Freda Sugarman and her team know their way around a kitchen. The tuna tartare tacos were delicate and flavorful, the deviled eggs were melt-in-your-mouth decadence, and the Amazing Cauliflower is worth a trip all on their own. Don’t sleep on it, even if it is a vegetable.
Make sure you check out the reviews of the event, the photos from UltraClay, and head over for some deliciousness! The rain may have kept us inside last night, but you can be sure we’ll all be back for more outstanding but unpretentious American cuisine in their beautiful back garden soon. Rosé and oyster Sundays anyone? I’ll see you there.
