At Cento, authentic Italian preparations combine with locally sourced ingredients and familiar Wisconsin traditions, to make for a modern dining experience in a stunning setting that’s unlike anything else in Madison. Chef Michael Pruett and his kitchen team truly outdid themselves at the first Yelp Madison Elite event of 2015, dishing up perfectly cooked pizzas straight from their wood-fired oven, followed by course after course of menu specialties, some with added twists, each one better than the one before.
Assistant General Manager Jordan Bright and Wine Steward Leo Warman served some of the restaurant's most intriguing Italian cocktails, traditional in nature with modern additions, and Sommelier and Managing Partner Caitlin Suemnicht shared her extensive knowledge and expertise at pairing wine, selecting four varietals that floored guests.
The background Caitlin and the Cento team provided about how to pair wine perfectly with food, about the rich history of the restaurant space and about the menu and philosophy behind it really resonated with Elites.
