Around the World in 8 Weeks – America

Monday June 22th saw the final event as part of the Around the World in 8 Weeks Event Series. Over the last eight weeks The Belfast Yelp Community have been invited to pack their bags and head off on on a world food tour! Over the last two months the Belfast Yelp community have visited eight amazing Belfast eateries, each one serving up incredible eats from distinct parts of the world. We’ve been from Egypt to the USA and stopped at some incredible eateries along the way!

The final night as part of the series was held at the Belfast newbie Vandal above the ultra traditional White’s Tavern. Twenty  five Yelpers enjoyed the unmistakable taste of comfort food from the USA. Where other venues have been healthy it seems that the final stop on the world food tour was down right dirt delicious grub. Perfect platters where plated up by the expert chefs at Vandal treating the lucky Yelpers to Fried wings in many varieties, pizza, deep fried cream cheese peppers, onion rings and of course potato cut french fries. The food was stacked high and bellies were ready to burst. To top it all off freak jars were served up. Flavours included Chocolate Brownie, Mint Aero and New York Cheese Cake.What a great way to end eight weeks of truly terrific food and drink!

This was the eighth week in a row the Yelp Belfast community left a city centre eatery full to the brim but sadly that’s it for this eventful event series. But that’s not all for the Yelp Belfast Community – coming up we have Cocktails contests, street art walking tours and photography masterclasses!
