Live life like a Londoner in Borough this weekend with top tips from London Yelpers:
“I love Maltby Street Market. It’s my favourite thing to do on a Sunday. Tucked away behind London Bridge, it’s a little hidden gem that not many know about it so, although it’s always busy, it’s never so bad that you can’t move. I especially like Bar Tozino which is a fab little Spanish Bodega that serves beer by the jug and loads of delicious Spanish nibbles including an array of Jamón. Amazing!” Alana S
“The ambience alone is just so unique – cases with vintage bottles of wine, leather chairs, a totally wooden interior, etc. I only went here for drinks on a date and it was the perfect setting – beautiful but relaxed and very cozy. Also, there’s a downstairs that opens up for private parties. The service is top notch and the restrooms are really nice.” Whitney R
“A small independent coffee house, 5 mins walk from the main hustle and bustle of London Bridge, Borough Market and The Shard. It’s quirky, from the face made out of pieces of white paper and 2 hats on the wall, to the sign outside that reads ‘Food, Food, Food and coffee’ on one side and ‘Coffee, Coffee, Coffe and food’ on the other side.” Henri R
“In a hidden warehouse just behind London Bridge station you can step into decadent 1930s Shanghai.
At weekends they have an amazing Jazz band that will soon get you off your feet and dancing to some old classics, until the DJ comes out to keep you dancing into the small hours. Great cocktails and friendly staff – all dressed for the occasion. Glam yourselves up and go for a top night out!” Carolyn N.
5. Radio Days
“Radio Days by far TOPS all the vintage stores in London hands down! I love the beauty of this shop and it certainly screams VINTAGE! Away from the typical busy ‘Shoreditch’ hyped area, I finally got browse round the shop in one piece! I love the posters on display, the accessories, the music, old style telephones and so on.. OH AND THE CLOTHES!” Mimi R
