With a decade of reviews under our belt, it was time for the Bay Area Community team to pull out all the stops as Yelp celebrated the big 1-0. San Francisco is where it all began, and from July 31 to August 3, the 10-Year Planning Committee whipped up an action-packed weekend bursting with parties and events to bring together and celebrate the Yelp community. From our golden soirée at Yelp HQ and a wondrous wine country getaway, to the most bangin' boat party on the Bay, the 10th Anniversary Celebration was epic.

Willkommen (Welcome) Party At Schroeder's
Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome! Yelp's 10-Year Anniversary kickoff event happened at Schroeder's, one of the oldest establishments in San Francisco. Local Yelpers gave a warm welcome (or in this case, "willkommen") to Yelpers who'd made the journey from other communities around the world to San Francisco. Very generous hearty bites were served, including bratwurst, spaetzle, and house-made pretzels, courtesy of Schroeder's. To wash it all down were Campari cocktails, Das Brew beer, and Devoto Cider. To top things off, guests were entertained by Renate's Oompah Band in true German fashion. Even better? We collected almost $800 for a local non-profit, Rafael House! Gold Soiree At Yelp HQ
For one night only, Yelp HQ opened its doors for an exclusive community event. The lucky traveling/local Yelp Elites and their +1's got to see where the "magic" happens and hobnob with the Executive team, including CEO Jeremy S! Sneak peek tours of the lobby were provided upon request. And, of course, it wasn't a Yelp party without local food, beverages, and entertainment. A Very Special Friday Night At the de Young Museum
In celebration of Yelp's 10th birthday, the de Young Museum hosted a VIP shindig for Yelpers during their regular Friday Night celebrations. It was a party within a party inside the museum's Piazzoni Murals Room. Yelpers enjoyed live jazz, food and beverages, the latest modern art exhibit and, most importantly, mingled with their fellow Yelpers at an iconic SF venue. Read the reviews and see the photos.

Hornblower Sunset Cruise
Celebrating a decade in the making, it was time to set sail into the future on Hornblower Cruises's San Francisco Belle. At this flagship event of the celebration, Yelp community traveling far and wide were the real belles of this ball. Replete with complimentary eats, craft beers and cocktails from the best of SF local businesses, the triple-decker paddlewheel riverboat cruised from the Golden Gate throughout the San Francisco Bay.
Over 50 local businesses participated in this event, helping to provide food, drink and entertainment to over 1500 attendees on a four-decker yacht. Kiva was our non-profit beneficiary, raising over $6,000 for their microlending program that helps support local businesses. The 5-star reviews and 500+ photos speak for themselves.

Napa Valley Wine Country Excursion At V. Sattui
Question: How do you toast the end of a fabulous Yelp-iversary weekend? Answer: Embark on a unforgettable afternoon excursion to beautiful wine country! Yelpers were transported to Napa Valley in style on a deluxe motor coach. Upon arrival, they were greeted with a glass of vino in a Yelpiversary commemorative wine glass. After a brief tour of this award-winning, family-owned estate, the group convened in their private barrel room/museum for a special tasting of V. Sattui's finest wines paired with house cheese and charcuterie. Guests also had time to explore the wonderful property, take photographs in the vineyards and enjoy the warm North Bay sunshine.
