Reminders
The new Reminders section is the first thing you’ll see on the home page when you log in to your Yelp for Business account. It serves up the most important actions and content, making it easy to see at-a-glance what’s most relevant to you each day. You’ll be able to see if there are messages from customers waiting for you, reviews that need a response, features that need to be set up, or even blog posts that you might be interested in checking out. Note: This section is being rolled out—check back often to see when it becomes available for your business.
Cost guides
The new Yelp Project Cost Guides provide category-specific pricing information and expert advice to help consumers kick off their projects. For example, this cost guide for movers shows the estimated cost of movers on Yelp, plus a number of tips about hiring professional movers.
The benefit for businesses? The pages highlight a list of local businesses in that category, and they also prompt the consumer to add in their zip code so they can get personalized quotes from businesses near them—meaning more job leads for you.
Optimized search experience for services businesses
An enhanced search experience makes it faster and easier for businesses to be found by consumers who need a job done. When a user searches for popular services, there are new, custom search filters to help them better refine their search. This means businesses like yours are more likely to be discovered by high-intent customers whose project needs closely align with what you provide.
Yelp for Restaurants updates
Guest Manager
Yelp Guest Manager brings Yelp for Restaurants front-of-house products and features together into one comprehensive solution. It includes new digital ordering and guest loyalty integrations, as well as new features that help simplify front-of-house operations for both dine-in and to-go ordering. There is also a new Virtual Restaurants attribute available, helping to make those businesses easily distinguishable to customers as delivery and/or takeout-only restaurants.
Integrations with Punchh and Olo
To help restaurants encourage repeat diners, Yelp is now integrated with Punchh, an industry-leading loyalty and engagement platform, enabling restaurants to provide personalized customer loyalty programs through Yelp Guest Manager.
Yelp Guest Manager is also now integrated with Olo, a leading on-demand commerce platform that powers digital ordering and delivery programs for the restaurant industry. The integration will automatically input new orders made on a restaurant’s website or app, if powered by Olo, directly into the Yelp Guest Manager app. This allows restaurants that leverage Olo for their digital ordering experiences to manage all of their front-of-house guests from one iPad, streamlining takeout, delivery and curbside operations, ultimately increasing efficiency.
Restaurant content featured on iOS home feed
An entirely new home feed iOS experience surfaces relevant, local, and unique content from restaurants to a user’s home feed. Yelp iOS users will be able to scroll through a vertical feed that features visual content from local restaurants in their city, including popular dishes, popular photos from consumers, and updates directly from restaurants. The content shown on Yelp’s home feed is contextualized to users based on various factors, including their proximity to the business, the recency of the content, and the popularity of a dish in reviews.
For restaurants that use Yelp Connect, a paid feature that enables businesses to share updates with new and existing customers, their posts will gain greater visibility than ever before as users will now easily discover these Connect posts right on their home feed.
