Two free vaccine-related attributes
To help businesses share how they’re currently operating, there are two new, free attributes to choose from: “Proof of vaccination required” and “All staff fully vaccinated.” Consumers will be able to filter by these attributes when searching for local businesses on Yelp and will easily see “Proof of vaccination required” indicated on restaurant, food, and nightlife businesses in search results.
Only businesses can add these specific attributes to their Yelp Page. To add the attribute, log in to your Yelp for Business account and follow these steps:
- Go to the Business Information tab
- Next to “Amenities and more,” click Add (or Edit if you have existing content here)
- Click Yes next to the attribute you’d like to turn on
- Click Save Changes
For businesses that activate these attributes, we’ve put protective measures in place to proactively safeguard them from reviews that primarily criticize the COVID health and safety measures they enforce. This includes proactively monitoring business pages to ensure hateful or harmful content that violates our Content Guidelines is removed by our User Operations team.

Refreshed Yelp logo
We recently refreshed Yelp’s logo to bring a more contemporary look that maintains the fun, outgoing brand personality and mirrors the advances we’ve made to modernize our platform. This also includes updates to the Yelp for Business logo as well as our suite of app icons, including the Yelp for Business mobile app.

Messaging response time update
Your messaging response time is calculated as the median time you’ve taken to respond to messages in the past 30 days. But sometimes you may receive messages at odd hours of the night, which can drag down your response time. To help alleviate the stress around responding to late-night messages or quote requests, we’ve introduced “After Hours.”
“After Hours” start at 6 p.m. each day and end at 8 a.m. the following day. This time window is not included when your response time is calculated, so you can relax at night without worrying about responding to messages or being penalized if you don’t respond until the morning.
Remember to respond to potential customers as soon as you can for the best chance of winning the job.
