Creating manager blocks allows you to set aside tables you don’t want made available for online reservations for any reason. Accessing this feature on the go is great for any staff members who call out sick last minute. You can block off a few tables for the day (or for just a few hours) to ensure that you don’t overwhelm your wait and kitchen staff by spreading them too thin. If you know your staff can handle the heat, you can delete the block just as easily as you created it.
Write Shift Notes
You can also add shift notes to relay information to your staff. Shift notes are a great way to communicate anything special or out of the ordinary going on in your restaurant for a particular shift. Let your staff know if they need to set up for a large party coming in or if you’re out of a certain entree. With the ability to add shift notes on the go, your staff will always be up to date on important information.
Update & Edit Reservations
In addition to shift notes, you can edit reservations on the go with ease. Search your reservations by the guest’s name, select the reservation you want to edit, and be sure to save your changes. Any changes or updates will be immediately updated across the system and can be viewed in the reservation history.
So, how do you access it? By going to www.YelpReservations.com from a mobile web browser, any restaurant with a current account can login using their normal login information. Adding the Yelp Reservations mobile site to the home screen of your iPhone or Android device is quick and easy so you’ll always be just a tap away from your restaurant.
On iPhone:
- Open Safari
- Navigate to www.yelpreservations.com
- Tap the sharing icon at the bottom of the screen (square with an arrow pointing up)
- Tap “Add to Home Screen”
On Android:
- Open Chrome
- Navigate to www.yelpreservations.com
- Tap the three dots in the upper right corner
- Tap “Add to Home Screen”
