Tucson Elites celebrate APIHM with delicious experiences

May was Asian Pacific Islander Heritage month, and Yelp Tucson celebrated in a big way! Throughout the month, Yelpers were able to take advantage of check-in offers at various businesses and Tucson Yelp Elites were invited to enjoy several delicious Elite Week experiences! From bubble tea to Taiwanese eats and handmade dumplings, one thing is for sure, Yelp Elites love to support local and explore diverse cuisines! Ni Hao Tea was founded by Kim Zhou in 2020. Ni Hao Tea is a premium boba tea shop that focuses on quality. Their boba is cooked every 3 hours to ensure its freshness. They freshly brew premium black and green tea. And also provide brown sugar boba, honey boba, and regular boba on their menu.  Their signature drinks include fresh brown sugar boba bilk ( Tiger Milk Boba), taro smoothie with real taro, ceremonial grade matcha latte, and real cream cheese tea.

Tucson Elites were treated to a drink of their choice from Ni Hao Tea. Drinks like the “brown sugar boba with cream cheese” and “honeydew slush” were a crowd favorite. Read more about other unique drinks on the menu, here!

The 81 Hong Kong Cafe opened in August 2020, in the middle of the pandemic! Owner, Cici Li is an entrepreneur at heart. Working full-time at the Arizona Cancer Center, she also runs the restaurant as well as an auto-parts company. Her vision for The 81 Hong Kong Cafe is to highlight Cantonese dishes from Hong Kong and Taiwan. You’ll find some fusion items on the menu too! It doesn’t get more authentic than having two chefs, each representing Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Yelp Elites had their choice of the fried chicken bites or lemon pepper tofu and their choice of mango, matcha or almond layered pudding for dessert with their choice of topping– Taro paste, red-bean or purple sticky rice. How was this received? 20+ stellar reviews and tons of new dishes for us to try thanks to Elites that ordered additional menu items and shared all the delicious details!

Fish Wok is women-owned and operated. Owner Sharon loves to cook and takes pride in their various home made dishes. Their most popular dishes are Szechuan Grilled Fish and Szechuan Spicy Griddle Pot! She was thrilled to showcase her handmade pork dumplings which are a family tradition.Fik Wok is open for take-out, dine-in and delivery through doordash.
