KC’s Local Adventure Challenge

The month of May brims with optimism in Kansas City. Warmer weather, longer days, and bustling patios make it an ideal time to get out and take an adventure.

This year, Yelp launched a #LocalAdventureChallenge with BikeWalkKC to encourage people to explore four bikeable, highly local neighborhoods for National Bike Month.

North Kansas City

North Kansas City is hopping with breweries, pickleball, a local movie theater, and miles and miles of bike lanes. Yelpers enjoyed BOGO offers, discounted pints, and vegan-friendly meals. See the collection of NKC businesses that took part in the #CityAdventureChallenge here!

River Market

The River Market is known for its great density of local spots, and some classic KC spots as well. Yelpers enjoyed free pastries from Made in KC’s Trolley Cafe, ice cream cones from Betty Rae’s, and bike rides along Berkley Riverfront Park.

Brookside & Waldo

The Trolley Track Trail ties these neighborhoods together, with RideKC bike-share stations throughout. From patio brews to ice cream, these neighborhoods are always worthy of a visit.

Anchored by the expansive, beautiful Shawnee Mission Park, Yelpers closed out the challenge exploring the Lenexa area. Discounts on locally made chocolate, appetizers, and some deals from Lenexa’s Public Market had folks rediscovering their love for this area of town.
