Field (Augusta, GA)
“The concept of the business is that of indie beauty store that holds fast to the standard of ‘highly curated cruelty free and vegan indie beauty.’ Jennifer, the owner of the store as well as founder of FIELD, has her own line of products on the shelf. They include a spray for armpits, the body, and for feet. She has a licensed aesthetician on the team. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful that they enhance the amazing atmosphere and quality products being offered.”
Morningtide (Albany, CA)
“They have beautifully crafted ceramics, prints, clothing and more from local artists. I have 4 bowls that are from local artists and I use them almost every single day. They were pricey but are my favorite dishes in my house. I also use a perfume from the store, which is also a favorite.”
Raphio Chocolate (Fresno, CA)
“My introduction to Raphio Chocolate was through a virtual factory tour and tasting… The entire experience was so wonderful, I put in another order last Friday… Almost all of the items in my order will be gifts to my family, which I know they will love: 102% Ecuador bar for my father, bonbons for my mother, the cacao tea and 72% clementine olive oil bar for my wife, with an order of nibs for myself. I’m very excited to share these creations with my family, and to eat my way through all the options from Raphio.”
Macbaby Cookie (Honolulu, HI)
“Oh Macbaby! I don’t even like macaroons but I love this place and the ones they make! What sets their macaroon cookies apart are the local ingredients, the moist yet crispy texture and the many options to choose from.”

Taudrey (Miami, FL)
“What I love the most about it is how much you can personalize. I’ve been collecting the gold cuffs and engraving them with special dates, locations, etc. for a few years now. They have not tarnished and look as shiny as they did a few years back when I received them. I also have a variety of their initial necklaces and get compliments each time I wear them.”

House of Intuition (Long Beach, CA)
“I consider myself a beginner crystal collector although I’ve been consciously acquiring them since 2017. I personally appreciate the crystal selection at HOI. Of course, I love all of their other items including their candles, tarot cards, incenses, bracelets, and necklaces. There’s so much more.”

Kanibal & Co (Jersey City, NJ)
“Kanibal is an awesome little shop in downtown JC. So great for gifts and fun finds! They have skincare products, fun kits, puzzles, Sugarfina candy, clothing, and more. There’s a decent menswear section as well. You can find something for everyone!”

Calabash Tea & Tonic (Washington, DC)
“Ordered a gift basket as a Christmas present for my mom… I am so impressed by the quality and speed of shipping given the price. It came with a tea strainer, honey stirrers, and two loose leaf teas. Will be sending more gift baskets from this Black-owned small business in the future!“
