Belonging while working from home
As of March 19th, 2020 we have temporarily closed access to all Yelp offices across the globe and our employees have transitioned into a work-from-home environment. While our colleagues work remotely, the camaraderie and closeness of our people remains the same. Engineering teams have daily virtual stand up meetings and host game events and trivia nights where we can take a step away from work to socialize. We continue to seek out internal and external educational learning experiences through weekly internal virtual events, including targeted Engineering and Product focused talks like our Yelping From Home Tech Talk Series or Accessibility in Design, the concept of making sure a product or service can be used by everyone—however they encounter it.
Additionally, the flexibility of working from home creates the perfect opportunity for people to apply in any country where we have a remote role listed, even if they don’t work close to a Yelp office.
Not used to working from home? No problem, we’ll help you get comfortable. Yelp employees are eligible to receive a monthly credit to help them with internet costs as well as other materials they may need to make their working areas more productive.
