Yelp Atlanta Celebrates Black History Month

This February, Yelp Atlanta embarked on a cultural education series in celebration of Black History Month. An epicenter of the civil rights movement, history runs rich throughout the Big Peach.

Atlanta is home to thousands of black-owned business and to celebrate, the Yelp Atlanta team highlighted these businesses all month long with an event and Instagram spotlight series.

From coffee masters like Gilly Brew Bar and culinary wizards like Switz Sports Bar and Debbie’s Delights, to remarkable artists and authors, Yelp Atlanta partnered with some of the city’s most influential business owners.

At an event with Sublime Doughnuts, Yelp Elite Squad members designed a new doughnut flavor, the “ImanTay.” This strawberry cheesecake and cinnamon pecan doughnut was featured at both Sublime shops for the month of February, with 15% of sales donated to the NAACP of Atlanta
