Out of the millions of local businesses on Yelp, many are owned or managed by hard-working women. In the Twin Cities area alone, we have an ever-growing Yelp bookmark collection of over 220+ women-owned businesses–from James Beard Award winning restaurants to hardware stores! To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment, International Women’s Day on March 8, and Women’s History Month this March, we’re calling attention to local spots run by awesome women. Social justice and grilled cheese, an amazing combo that I wholeheartedly support!… I ordered the Back 2 Bac, which is a grilled bacon, avocado, cheddar sandwich with sriracha ranch. Holy smokes, I want it all the time! So good.” – Monique H

Tare Market

The store is bright, modern, and lovely. They have waste-free packing on tons of products – way more than I thought they would!… Bring your own clean containers (or they have containers you can purchase) and stock up on products.” – Kristin O

“Super unique, fun place for both alcoholic bevies and non. I love the rotating beverage menu concept, allowing multiple new or well established breweries to try out a new concept.” – Courtney B

Not only did the place look amazing, the food looked and tasted amazing as well! I’ve been wanting to try souffle pancakes ever since I heard about them a few years ago and I’m sooo happy I finally got to try them in Minnesota. They are everything I dreamed of and more.” – Miriam R

The Foundry Home Goods

“The Foundry is a great place to get well-crafted tea cups, cloths, candles, and a ton of other lovely gifts. Perfect for housewarming gifts, or to stock your own kitchen!” – Mackenzie M

“We found this place after stopping at their Stand at the MN state fair, after falling in love with their gluten free bread. Both of our bowls were packed with flavor and veggies I didn’t even know I liked. I tried both bowls, and can honestly not say which was my favorite between the two.” – Gabi S
