Yelp Celebrates Black History Month with Decals for Black Owned Businesses

Black History Month focuses on the education of issues facing the African-American/Black community relating to topics of representation, philanthropy, healthcare, and distribution of wealth. This includes highlighting current innovators that are leading the charge in making a significant difference for the community. This Black History Month, Yelp also wants to empower Black-owned businesses around the country with a Black Owned Business Decal.

Out of the millions of local businesses on Yelp, many are owned by hard-working members of the African-American/Black community. This February, to celebrate Black History Month, we’re providing businesses an opportunity to share that they’re Black owned and operated with a special window decal that can be proudly displayed on their storefronts. In addition to the window clings, we invite businesses to be featured in our Yelp Collection of Black Owned Businesses. What is a Yelp Collection, you ask? You can read more about that here and view a similar collection we put together to celebrate PRIDE.

If you would like to be featured in our Yelp Collection and/or would like to receive one of the window clings please fill out this form by Friday, February 21st. The storefront stickers will be sent directly to the businesses by mail. Also, be sure to connect with your local Community Manager who can assist you with any questions, set up an event or just share some best practices to help promote your business to the Yelp community!

*We’ve heard from businesses that they love to personalize their storefronts, and show off what makes them unique. We’ll have additional decals available in the near future for more of the business owner community coming your way!*
